The Reunion

Akbal is interested in old civilizations, particularly Mayan culture, which began nearly 3,000 years ago in southern Mexico and northern Central America. He comes across strange Mayan idols, one of which bears his name. Akbal embarks on a quest to find more of these archaeological treasures with his girlfriend, Yeril, and his friends, Jim, Brad, Jack, Gerard and their significant others.

After what seems like a string of mere coincidences, the troop ventures to the Mayan city of Bonampak. They head to the site of a once-booming Mayan city, which is isolated by the second largest jungle in the world and accessible only by way of a long flight in a small aircraft. On this trek, strange occurrences begin happening to this unsuspecting group.

Characters begin to disappear. A military party is sent to look for them as the Mexican government is pressured by some of the missing friends’ countries of citizenship. High-ranking soldiers leading the investigation vanish as well. In a mysterious instance, one of the pilots and another officer depart the jungle, and someone jumps in the sliding door of their helicopter. They are shocked to see it is one of the people who has disappeared. Could the spirits of the Mayan ancients be returning and causing this havoc?
